Legacy & Mission

Great Meadow stands as proof that one man’s vision can become a reality. With the support of family, friends, and the local community, founder Arthur “Nick” Arundel created what he called his Field of Dreams—a 374-acre open space preserved forever in service to the public.

Since 1983, the dedication of our Founding Life Members, Board Members, and countless community supporters has carried forward his mission: to protect this land and share its beauty for generations to come.
